Product Information

The new Argos Pro series filters are designed for the filtration of oil mists (emulsion as well as neat oil), vapours and smokes deriving from a variety of machining processes. 

The Argos Pro has been specifically designed for  use within all industry sectors.  From initial concept through to final production the Argos-Pro has been designed to withstand the rigours associated with industrial use, which will ensure a long service life of the equipment.  the clever and intelligent design ensures servicing and maintenance can be undertaken with relative ease ensuring minimum downtime of the equipment .

The Argos Pro is available in 3 sizes with flow rates ranging from 3.000 to 15.000 m3/h and with increasing filtration efficiency rates up to  99.97%. when fitted with the optional H13 HEPA after filter

Pre filtration and mist separation

The air entry section is connected to the ductwork system allowing the contaminated process air to enter the filtration unit. The air entry system consists of a large open area which allows the contaminated oil mist laden process air, to expand and slow as it enters the filtration in effect acting as a simple calming chamber (A). An optional  centrifugal pre-separation system known as the "Twister"  (B) can be installed within the calming chamber. The "Twister further facilitates the aggregation of the finer particles by means of a forced centrifugal effect. Subsequently, the air passes through two separate and reusable filtration stages, a PVC drop separator and a metallic G2 filter (C), with an efficiency of 80-90% following ISO 16890 – ISO COARSE 30%.

95% main filter efficiency

The next area is the main filtration chamber which houses the main filter elements.  The unit is fitted with pleated cartridge filters (D) which provide a a large  surface area  for the filtration of the finer particulates. The main filtration cartridges are covered by a highly absorbent, coalescent filter which also allows for an even distribution of air flow over the entire cartridge. This filter has a filtration efficiency of F5, namely 40-60%, while cartridges have an efficiency of F9 about 95%.

The Argos Pro is equipped as standard with a manometer which monitors the condition of the main filter media. An optional digital display can be fitted to the filtration unit, which provides visual access to the main control unit functions, as well  as the LOSMA exclusive “LED Up” system, which signals the clogging of the filter elements by means of three different colours  (green - amber - red).

Quick & easy filter replacement

Access to the filtration chamber is possible through a hinged  access door, the horizontal positioning of the cartridges allows quick and easy access and maintenance. Removal of the filters is simple, fast and clean because the two chambers of filtration system are separated by a panel which also serves as a support structure for the filter elements. The re-condensed oil mist particles are collected in a large tank, which includes an external visual level and (upon request) a pump to automatically remove the collected liquid (E).

    Absolute Filter HEPA H13

    To obtain a very high filtration efficiency of 99.97%  the Argos Pro can be fitted with an optional H13 HEPA filter in accordance with EN 1822. Particularly suitable for micro mists and smokes. The filter has an easy attachment-detachment system which ensures efficient maintenance.

    HEPA H13 condition monitoring

    The Argos Pro can be fitted with a additional sensor which will monitor the condition of the optional H13 HEPA after filter . Filter condition is indicated by a LED lamp located on the front control panel of the filtration unit.

    LED UP

    Digital system which allows for an easy and rapid visualisation of the filter condition, thanks to the combination of a pressure gauge and a LED strip using three different colours (green, yellow, red).

    Carbon Filter

    The Argos Pro can be fitted with an additional activated carbon filter for the removal of odours from previously filtered air.

    Twister

    The Argos Pro can be fitted with an optional  centrifugal pre-separation system known as the "Twister". The Twister is installed within the initial pre-separation chamber and offers addition separation of particulates from the air steam by means of a forced centrifugal effect.

    Transfer Pump

    The Argos Pro can be fitted with an optional liquid transfer pump. the Transfer pump is fitted within the liquid collection tank and includes a level sensor (float) which allows for automatic emptying of the liquid collection tank.
