DARWIN
OIL MIST COLLECTION & FILTRATION
The Darwin series from LOSMA is a range of centrifugal filters for cleaning air containing oil mists, micro-mists and smokes produced when using coolants (emulsion or neat oil). The Darwin is available in four sizes, with a maximum flowrate up to 3000 m³/h, with 3 different interchangeable filtration technologies.

TWO-STAGE FILTRATION
The Darwin series uses a double filtration combination: dynamic (given from centrifuge rotation) and static (with integrated post-filtration system)which ensures high levels of filtration can be achieved.
CONDENSATION AND DRAINAGE
Compared to the most common static air filtration systems, the Darwin series grants incomparable capacity of re-condensation and drainage; overpressure inside the filter is used to continuously discharge coolant which can then be collected and recycled.
EASY INSTALLATION
All Darwin systems can be mounted either horizontally or vertically due to an innovative unique cradle design, which allows the filter to rotate on its axis, allowing for installation in tight spaces.
QUICK AND EASY MAINTENANCE
Access to the filter section on the DARWIN is quick, easy and a tool free operation. Access to filter enclosure is gained by opening the cover which is fastened with over centre toggle clips which when undone give access to the filters.
STAINLESS STEEL VERSION
All Darwin series models can be supplied in stainless steel, for use with aggressive chemicals or where the use of powder coated mild steel may be unsuitable.

Grab interest
The Darwin is available with an optional “Clipper” after filter cartridge for micro-mist, smoke & vapours. With the optional "Clipper" after filter fitted, filtration efficiency is increased to 99.97%.
LOSMA Guard pre-separation unit
The LOSMA Guard Pre-filtration module is used as an initial pre-separation unit for applications with a high dust / swarf loading. The Guard effectively removes dust, swarf and chips from oil mist laden process air which prevents premature failure of the main filters. The Guard contains a reusable / washable mesh filter. The Darwin filtration unit mounts directly to the top of the Guard unit.

X-View filter condition monitoring system
The new X-VIEW sensor is able to detect the progressive clogging state of the Darwin filters, signalling three main operating phases (Led version):
• GREEN: Clean Filters;
• YELLOW: Pre clogging;
• RED: Clogging.
