The new Pascal filter series from LOSMA have been designed for the filtration of dust and smoke deriving from many machining processes.
The Pascal is available in three sizes with flow rates ranging from 3.000 to 9.000 m3/h and with increasing filtration efficiency rates up to 99.97%.
The PASCAL filtration unit has been specifically designed for the industrial sector, where its innovative design comes into its own, from its solid construction, proven reliability , combined with easy service and maintenance ensures machine downtime is kept to a minimum. The Pascal is available in three sizes with flowrates ranging from 3.000 to 9.000 m3/h and with increasing filtration efficiency rates to reach 99.97%.
The air entry section, which connects the ductwork system to the PASCAL filtration unit, consists of a large open chamber which serves as a calming chamber for the incoming air (A).
The contaminated incoming air now enters the main filtration chamber, which houses the main cartridge filters. The pleated cartridge filters have a large surface area (B) which ensures a long service interval been changes, with a filtration efficiency of 95% (F9).
The main cartridges are kept in perfect conditions with a programmable electronic cleaning system using which utilises compressed air (C) to provide a reverse jet cleaning function. The system continuously monitors the ΔP and operates the sequential cleaning cycles ensuring compressed air consumption is kept to a minimum. The program controller is equipped with a LCD display for the visualization of the main functionalities and the alarm limits.
The horizontal positioning of the filter cartridges in the PASCAl unit, allows for quick and efficient maintenance, access to the filtration chamber is possible through a hinged door. Filter removal is easy, quick and clean, because the dirty chamber is separated from the clean section by a panel which also serves as a support structure for the filter elements. Dust is collected in a large container (D), which can easily be moved with with a standard pallet truck.

Permits PASCAL is fitted with a programmable filter condition monitoring system which continuously monitors the ΔP and manages the sequential opening of the electronic solenoid valves used in the reverse-jet, compressed air filter cleaning system. The system utilises an LCD digital display to allow access to the programmable control functions of the PASCAL unit whilst providing a visual indication of the condition of the unit filters.
The PASCAL unit makes use the use of high efficiency centrifugal fans and the high flow rates generated enable the Pascal series to be utilised on large CNC machine tools and centralised ducted systems.
Access to the filtration chamber on the PASCAL unit is simple and quick, without having to unscrew or disassemble the filtration unit. Simply unlock and open the hinged door to access the filters, which can easily be extracted and replaced. The innovative design of the unit ensures machine downtime is kept to a minimum for routine servicing and maintenance tasks.
The PASCAL unit can be fitted with an optional H13 HEPA filter, which provides filtration levels of 99.97% according to norm EN 1822. Particularly suitable for micro-mists and smokes.
The PASCAL can be fitted with an additional activated carbon filter for the removal of odours from previously filtered air.
